About The Team

We are a team of four ESL teachers writing about state-of-the-art tips and advice for learners of English as a second language.

Niaj A A Khan

I started my teaching career by teaching ESL learners at English Language Institute (ELI), United International University as a Spoken English Faculty. Then I moved to University of Asia Pacific to teach a special course called “English Language Proficiency Course” under the Department of English. “This was a 60-hour course concentrating on the four skills in the English language—reading, writing, listening and speaking. A total of 651 (six hundred and fifty-one) students from seven departments of UAP attended the course.”

My overall experience has taught me a lot about creating an amazing learning experience for my learners. I believe there are no wrong methods of learning English, but there are hundreds of ineffective ways ESL learners unnecessarily may ponder over.

Therefore, learning the language in an effective way can make learning way faster and more fun. I keep researching and testing out different strategies with my students to find the most effective ways to share them with everyone on the internet.

Nazma Akhter

I started my teaching career by teaching ESL learners at English Language Institute (ELI), United International University, as a Spoken English Faculty. Then I moved to University of Asia Pacific to teach a special course called “English Language Proficiency Course” under the Department of English. “This was a 60-hour course concentrating on the four skills in the English language—reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I have observed thousands of ESL learners at United International University and University of Asia Pacific and found that they learn better when there is a fun learning experience in the classroom. However, I keep working on how to make the learning experience more fun. I believe learning English is no more confined to classrooms. I promote creating a learning experience based on social media as well, for instance, TikTok.

Feeda Hasan

I started my career teaching ESL learners at English Language Institute (ELI) at United International University as a Spoken English Faculty. As an ESL teacher, I promote innovation in teaching, and I believe language learning should always be learner-centered and as fun as possible.

While working at United International University, I found myself so passionate about my students. I respect my learners’ feelings no matter their efficiency level, and I try to make them as comfortable as possible by allowing them to make mistakes to boost their learning process.

I enjoy working with my team and would love to create a better learning experience for them every day.
